This course is designed for dancers who have already attended at least one tango course and wish to strengthen and expand their basic skills. You will learn how to combine and vary the basic elements while giving your dance a clear structure. Additionally, you will gain insights into the Códigos of the Milonga. For optimal progress, we recommend complementing your learning process with the individual technique course and the Práctica.

ELEMENTS + DIALOGUE

In this course, we work on step sequences and elements based on the fundamental systems of tango. We repeat, refine, and integrate them into the music. You will expand your dance vocabulary, learn new figure combinations, and enhance the quality of your embrace, posture, and communication within the couple. You already have experience dancing at Milongas and will further develop your navigation skills on the dance floor. For optimal progress, we recommend complementing your learning process with the individual technique course, the Fundamentals course, and the Práctica.

COMPLEXITY + DYNAMICS

In this course, we focus on a variety of complex step sequences and elements, working specifically on dynamics, style, and expression. This course requires a deep understanding and confident mastery of the fundamental tango systems—you should be able to integrate them effortlessly into your dance. It is designed for dancers who practice multiple times per week and continuously refine their technique and precision. Physical flexibility, strong coordination skills, precise navigation, and a well-developed sense of musicality are essential. Your ability to quickly grasp and confidently execute dynamic and challenging movement sequences will help you make the most of this course. Through these course contents, you will develop your technique, precision, and musicality at an advanced level. You will learn to execute movements with greater energy, clarity, and elegance. Additionally, you will gain more versatility and spontaneity in your dance through complex sequences. Participation in this course is only possible after prior consultation with the instructors. FUNDAMENTALS

THURSDAYS 20:05 - 21:20

In this course, we work in detail on the fundamental systems of tango—including the parallel and crossed system, ochos, sacadas, giros, and more. The focus is on partner technique to improve communication and ensure a precise and secure application of these essential elements in dance. We do not work on fixed step sequences or complex combinations. Instead, we concentrate on understanding and mastering the fundamental structures of tango, which form the basis of the entire dance vocabulary. This deep knowledge enables you to recognize core principles independently and give your tango a clear and solid structure. This course is also an excellent complement for dancers from the "Elements + Dialogue" and "Dynamics + Complexity" courses, allowing them to refine and perfect specific fundamental systems. It is also a great choice for experienced dancers who are returning to tango after a break and wish to refresh and strengthen their technical foundation. For optimal progress, we recommend complementing your learning process with the individual technique course and the Práctica.

REGISTRATION

You can register as a couple or alone. We can help you find a partner, but we cannot guarantee a dance partner.

You can join at any time using the registration form.

COURSE FEES AND ABSENCES

We offer a 20% discount for low earners and students. The absence policy and all other information can be found in the terms and conditions.

FREE TRIAL CLASS

A free trial class can be arranged for any lesson listed in the course program following a written request via email. If the whole course is then booked, the trial lesson attended must be paid for as part of the course fee.

REGULAR COURSE SUBSCRIPTION

You pay the fee for the entire course block and secure your place on the course. You do not have to pay a course fee for foreseeable absences, provided you inform us of this in writing on the registration form before the course block begins . You can also register alone; we can help you find a partner.

DROP-IN PARTICIPATION

Do you have a schedule that is difficult to reconcile with a weekly commitment? But you still want to dance and learn tango?

We offer you the opportunity to participate on a drop-in basis for 35 CHF per course evening (1h15min). We ask that you organize your dance partner yourself. We do not offer partner placement for short-term requests.

If the course is fully booked, participation is not possible. Before participating, we ask that you send us a short written request (SMS, WhatsApp or email).

FULL-PASS COURSE SUBSCRIPTION

Do you have a valid subscription for a current course block and would like to take part in a second or third course? For an additional flat fee of 100 CHF, we offer you access to all of our current regular courses at your level ( Practica, technique courses, workshops and fully booked courses excluded ). We ask you to organize your dance partner yourself. We will also be happy to contact you if we are looking for a dancer on an evening.
